Wedding Venues in San Jose | San Jose Swim and Racquet Club
There are literally hundreds of wedding venues in San Jose! So how do you decide on the right venue for your wedding day? Here are my top three suggestions on deciding on a wedding venue and why San Jose Swim and Racquet Club (SJSRC)may be a great fit for you.
No Matter What People Say, Size Matters
The size of your wedding guest list, that is 🙂 One of the first things to consider is the size of your wedding. Certain venues may only be able to hold around 100 guests; while other can accommodate several hundred guests. Whether or not your guest list will include kids is also a factor to consider. This will affect not only the size of your wedding, but also the cost of food and and many other wedding day essentials. For example, the more guests you have, the more flowers, linens, and chairs you’ll need for each table. SJSRC is A great venue for around 100 or so guests.
Wedding Day Coordinator/Event Planners
One of the things I HIGHLY recommend considering for your wedding day is an Event Planner/Wedding Day Coordinator. SJSRC did not provide this service with the venue; however, you can hire a company which specializes in wedding event planning. For this wedding, it was a pleasure to work with Vanessa from Leandra Events & Design. They took a lot of stress off of the Bride and Groom and did an excellent job keeping everything organized and on track. Check to see if your wedding venue provides a Wedding Day Coordinator. If they do not, hiring an Event Planner will be one of the best decisions you can make to ensure a seamless wedding day.
Your Venue Should Match The Feel of Your Wedding
Last but not least, your wedding venue should match the feel of your wedding day. There are all kinds of styles that you can choose from. For example, a rustic wedding would be held at a ranch styled wedding venue. This type of venue would be completely different than a wedding held at a golf course or winery. The great thing that I loved about SJSRC was its versatility. The design team at Leandra Events & Design did a phenomenal job transforming the venue to create an elegant and romantic feel. When I attended the rehearsal, I was not sure how everything would come together. On the day of the wedding I was pleasantly surprised at the makeover that was given to an otherwise plain wedding site. Many venues are not flexible with being able to change the look-and-feel of the site; however, this was not the case with San Jose Swim and Racquet Club. This is something to consider when looking for your wedding venue.
