Just like a resume, every business person should have a professional headshot. Headshots can be used for a bunch of different things – including for LinkedIn and your email signature, for example. Business headshots can be used for individuals but if you are a company, it is a great idea to have each of your employees take a headshot as well. Incorporate Headshots Into Your New Employee Onboarding

One of the ways you can make the process of having each employee take their headshots is to incorporate it into their employee onboarding. As new employees filter into your company, this can be added to their 1st week checklist. One of the great things about headshots is that they can be taken right at your office. If there is not enough space at the office, check with your Photographer to see if they have a studio where they can be taken. Also keep in mind that the headshots can be taken outside as well. But there are some pros and cons to outdoor headshots you will want to consider 🙂

Schedule Headshots When There Are Weekly or Monthly All Staff Meetings

Another way to make sure all of the employees in your company have their headshots taken is to schedule headshots when a lot of people are in the office. If you have a weekly or monthly meeting, this is a great opportunity. Once everything is set up, each person should take no longer than a couple of minutes each. So scheduling each person in 5 or 10 minute increments is more than enough time to get everyone photographed.

Also, make sure to check with your Headshot Photographer to see if their are discounts for larger groups. Most Photographers will give incentives to taking headshots in groups, rather than just one or two people at a time 😉

Make The Headshots Easily Repeatable

Lastly, it is also really important to make sure that all of the headshots are easily repeatable. One way that you can do this is by having the same background in each image. In my experience, white is the best option for taking headshots for companies. I would also consider having each employee wear similar outfits for their headshots. If you have polo or dress shirts that have your company logo, this is a great idea 🙂
